COVID-19 vaccination appointments still limited by supply

Public and private health partners are ready to increase the pace of vaccination as soon as more doses are made available. Placer has been allocated an average of 4,343 doses (first and second) per week, and Public Health and Safeway alone have the capacity to administer 7,400 doses per week, with other health providers able to administer thousands more. Public Health continues to cultivate partnerships with other pharmacies to further expand capacity. There are approximately 80,000 Placer residents who are 65+. As a result, appointment availability for eligible groups is still very limited. Additional appointments are added as vaccine supply becomes available. Residents should ensure their health care provider has up to date contact information; check back at www.placer.ca.gov/vaccineclinics and text PLACERVACCINE to the number 898211 to receive updates via text alert.

Don't wait until it's too late for flood insurance

Flood insurance

Homeowner's insurance policies do not cover damage from floods. You should consider obtaining flood insurance, even if it isn't required by your mortgage lender.
