The Triangle Trust 1949 Fund

The Trust’s primary focus is to help support the needs of young carers and young people caught up in the criminal justice system. This marks a shift from previous years when the Trust focused its funding on unpaid adult carers and adult offenders.

Grants are available from £10,000 up to £60,000 for a duration of six months to two years. A maximum of £30,000 per year can be requested. There are two grant rounds each year – one for work supporting young carers/young adult carers and one for work supporting young people with criminal convictions.

Young carers (Round 1): In recognition of the huge impact the pandemic has had on children and young people across the UK, especially that those with caring responsibilities are disproportionately affected, the Trust has focused its funding on providing support to young carers and young adult carers to address learning gaps linked to the pandemic.

Young offenders (Round 2): The funding is for projects that work with young people with criminal convictions (up to the age of 25) to find meaningful and secure employment.

Focus of fund/fund aims:

Grants up to £60,000 are available for charities, not-for-profit social enterprises and community interest companies in the UK that are working to support young carers/young adult carers (round one) or young offenders (round two).

Application deadline:

6 May 2022 (Round 1 - Young Carers) 28 October 2022 (Round 2 - Young Offenders)
