East Devon District Council aims to award projects that encourage outstanding communities, develop the local economy and promote an outstanding environment. You need a crowdfunding project in order to apply for the funding. This means that you must set up a Crowdfunding project, raise 25% of their initial target by collecting donations and then you can be eligible for match funding of up to 50% of what you’ve raised.
75% of the project benefits must be in favour of communities and the people within East Devon.
The following organisations are eligible to apply:
- Charities registered with the Charities Commission.
- Properly constituted and regulated Community Interest Companies registered with Companies House.
- Parish and town councils.
- Properly constituted voluntary and community groups and clubs.
- Properly constituted not for profit organisations.
This is not a traditional Grant scheme as it is a match-funding initiative.
Focus of fund/fund aims:
Grants of up to £10,000 can be awarded for non-profit organisations, charities, voluntary and community groups in East Devon who raise money through Crowdfunder.
Application deadline:
There is no current deadline specified, however campaigns typically run for 28 days but take a few weeks to create. Groups should allow about 6 weeks overall for this campaign.
