Low-Income Communities Bonus Credit

 

The Low-Income Communities Bonus Credit Program increases the amount of energy investment tax credits for clean-energy investments in low-income communities, on Indian land, as part of affordable housing developments, and benefitting low-income households.

The Department of Energy's Office of Economic Impact and Diversity will administer the program and evaluate submitted applications. The IRS will issue award letters or denials based on the eligibility of the facilities.

The date and time the application portal will open for registration and application submission will be announced in early September 2023.
