Supervisors approve second round of COVID-19 assistance grants

Placer shares

The Placer County Board of Supervisors this week approved the opening of a second round of Placer Shares grant applications to distribute $250,000 to small businesses. Additionally, $150,000 will be distributed to eligible county nonprofits that have already applied for a Placer Shares grant, but were not funded during the first round. Learn more

The plan, a partnership with cities and special districts, assesses the risk of floods, drought, wildfires, severe weather, and other natural hazards of concern to the county. Are you or do you have a loved one who is elderly? Our District Attorney’s Office established Placer County PROTECT to help ensure the safety and protection of our elderly residents. This multi-disciplinary task force team is comprised of many county partners and is dedicated to elder abuse investigations, victim support and community awareness. Learn more

County jobs website is updated regularly

Check out Placer County's employment website for a list of open positions, including internships. Job seekers can apply for positions and sign up for job alerts to be notified of openings. Those without internet access can use a computer kiosk in the Human Resources Department's lobby, at 145 Fulweiler Ave., in Auburn.
