The Veterans Benefits Administration knows that the transition from military to civilian life can be stressful and complex. Men and women from diverse backgrounds, ages and circumstances may face barriers and challenges to accessing VA benefits and programs and services eligibility.

To combat the transition challenge that “You don’t know that you don’t know,” especially now during a global pandemic, VBA has launched a new video series, Transition Talk, to bring critical information and resources to transitioning service members and Veterans.

The inaugural episode features VA Principal Deputy Under Secretary for Benefits, Margarita Devlin, discussing the topics that matter most to those in transition, or those facing anxiety during the COVID-19 pandemic: GI Bill payments, filing compensation claims, accessing possible state-based cash assistance programs, and more.

VBA plans for future videos to feature other pressing transition and COVID-19-related questions, with answers from VBA’s subject matter experts (SME).

The show uses a virtual talk show and Q&A format, including one-question soundbites, for quick answers. And, accompanying each video are important links and resources to help viewers easily click for more information. In addition to Transition Talk videos, VA’s FAQs and other key transition resources can be found at www.va.gov/coronavirus-veteran-frequently-asked-questions/.

Transition Talk is available for viewing on the @VABenefits Instagram TV (IGTV) account, VBA’s YouTube channel, and on VBA’s Office of Transition & Economic Development webpage. You can check out the latest episodes here: https://benefits.va.gov/transition/coronavirus.asp

I have 20 % individual Unemployability benefit. It is very important to me especially at my age of 75 .
At the Vet Ctr we were told there’s a good chance President Trump may do away with these benefits. Do you know if there’s any truth to this rumor.
It would be devastating to my wife and i.
Any information you can give me I’d appreciate.
    Thank you
    Paul
