Food and ag workers now eligible for COVID-19 vaccine

Our COVID-19 vaccination clinic @the Grounds is now open to workers in the food and agriculture sector - including restaurant, grocery, farm workers and more. Proof of employment in Placer County is required. How we're honoring our Purple Heart veterans

Placer County has dedicated a reserved parking spot for Purple Heart medal recipients at two county facilities following action by our Board of Supervisors to proclaim Placer as a Purple Heart County in November 2020. We marked the occasion today by unveiling the new sign outside Placer’s Veterans Services Office in Rocklin in a dedication event. Watch video


Placer helps fund nonprofit food insecurity program

Last year, Placer designated over $16 million through the Placer Shares grant program to help local businesses and nonprofits impacted by COVID-19. Tahoe Food Hub received a Placer Shares grant to help fund their Giving Box program, which assists those facing food insecurity in the Tahoe region. Watch video


Hidden Falls Regional Park special meeting

The Placer County Board of Supervisors will consider the Hidden Falls Regional Park trail expansion reduced project at a special board meeting on March 8. The project would increase the regional trail network and would provide new access and parking areas for the public.

What can you expect when you receive a jury summons? 

Jury summons

Some of our residents have received a jury summons from the Placer County Superior Court.
Jury trials have resumed in Placer County, which makes it important to read and follow the instructions on your summons form. The Placer County District Attorney's Office created a video to show potential jurors where to report for jury service at Santucci Justice Center. Watch video
