Jess Maurer, Executive Director, Maine Council on Aging 

Jess collaborates with partners to develop processes and initiatives geared toward action on issues related to poverty, housing, transportation, workforce, and care across all settings. (This was directly from her bio she sent me) As part of this work, she manages the Tri-State Learning Collaborative on Aging, a shared-learning platform for healthy aging initiatives in Northern New England. In this webinar, Jess will share insights and findings on how volunteer driver programs are adapting their services during the pandemic.

Karen Boice, Executive Director, Freedom Road Transportation Authority

Karen serves as Executive Director at Freedom Road Transportation Authority (FRT) in Orion, Michigan, which assists older adults, people with disabilities and individuals with low-incomes access transportation options. FRT offers a traditional volunteer driver program and a program where the riders choose their drivers. In this webinar, learn what elements of the latter program has allowed it to continue to successfully operate during the pandemic.
