Thank you to our snow removal team!

This past week's storm was quite an event but thanks to our amazing snow removal team for helping keep our county roads clear in eastern Placer. During storms, our team will move to 24-hour shifts and remain on call until the storm impacts have been cleared. Learn more 


Helping seniors access vaccine appointments

With many call centers experiencing long wait times due to high demand, if you know a senior without internet access, you can help them by sharing current information about COVID-19 vaccines from placer.ca.gov/vaccine. If you know a senior 65 or older who would be interested in a COVID-19 vaccination appointment but doesn't have an Internet connection to be able to make an online appointment — 211 Placer can offer resources and supports. Just call 2-1-1 for more.


Last invites for Placer COVID-19 infection study coming this week

Another 5,000 Placer residents will be invited this week to join Placer County’s COVID-19 infection rate study. Placer launched the study in October 2020 to better understand the coronavirus infection rate among county residents. Learn more


State opens second round of small business grants

Small business owners can now apply for the second round of COVID-19 relief funding. The program provides grants of $5,000 to $25,000 to help small businesses. Program details and eligibility information are available online at www.careliefgrant.com.

Honoring the life of Deputy Adam Gibson

The Placer County Sheriff’s Office this week paid respects to Sacramento County Sheriff’s Deputy Adam Gibson, who was killed in the line of duty on Jan. 18. Law enforcement from around the region and community members lined the sidewalks and streets in Roseville to honor Deputy Gibson. Our condolences go out to his family and the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office. Learn more

Check out Placer County's employment website for a list of open positions, including internships. Job seekers can apply for positions and sign up for job alerts to be notified of openings. Those without internet access can use a computer kiosk in the Human Resources Department's lobby, at 145 Fulweiler Ave., in Auburn.
