Subscribe to Public Notice FilingsWelcome to the RUS Electric Program Smart Utility, Public Notice Filings Portal. The PNF portal is used by USDA to publish notices of the Proposed Funded Service Areas (PFSAs) included in applications requesting financial assistance under the Electric Infrastructure Loan & Loan Guarantee Program. You can search and view Active PNFs by clicking on the map URL for that PNF.
To submit a response to a PNF, download, complete, and return the Public Notice Response Form before the PNF Closing Date has elapsed. You are also required to submit an ESRI zipped shapefile of the area(s) where you already provide broadband service within the PFSA as part of your response. You can download an ESRI zipped shapefile of the PFSA(s) that you would like to respond to by clicking on the shapefile download for that PNF. Submit both the Public Notice Response Form and shapefile via email to: RUSSmartUtility@usda.gov
All Public Notice Responses will be used to determine the eligibility of a PFSA and will be protected from public release under 7 U.S.C. 950cc(b)(3).
