The State Historic Preservation Office is hosting a webinar series entitled “Shut the Door! Barns in Oklahoma” featuring presenters who specialize in barn history, construction, and restoration. On Tuesday, August 30, the topic will be “Signs of Ethnicity and Adaptation in Oklahoma Barns.”

These presentations will be held on the last Tuesday of every other month, beginning at 6 p.m. The webinars will be limited to the first 100 registrants.

  • October 25 – “Oklahoma’s Special Purpose Barns and Farm Structures”
  • December 27 – “The Significance of Barns in the Oklahoma Cultural Landscape”
