GOLDENDALE, Wash. - Rep. Gina Mosbrucker (R-Goldendale) announced on Wed., April 24 that she will not seek re-election for a sixth two-year term in the Washington State House of Representatives, according to a release from Washington State House Republicans.

Mosbrucker has served as Representative to the 14th District since being elected in 2014. Her fifth, and now final, term ends in January.

"My faith sent me to the state Capitol," said Mosbrucker. "Now faith is sending me home. It’s time for a new chapter, one I know will be my best yet."

The release says that during Mosbrucker's time in the state House, she earned high praise for creating alliances across party lines to make legislative gains.

In her first term, Mosbrucker "Yes, Vets" bill passed unanimously to increase veteran employment. Later on, she worked on bills regarding Missing and Murdered Indigenous Persons, domestic violence, fentanyl and more.

"Serving the citizens of the 14th District has been one of the greatest honors in my life," said Mosbrucker. "I truly felt a calling to the Legislature a decade ago to make positive changes for my local communities and the citizens of this state. With the guidance of God, the support of citizens, and the help of an amazing legislative staff, I believe we have made a tremendous difference. However, I feel the time is right to put a pause on politics and return home to the people, friends, family, and the community I love and have been blessed to serve."

Moving forward, Mosbrucker wants to get her master's degree, build her dream home, work on her business in Goldendale and continue to serve her community.
