Exercise is a broad term for any activity that helps emergency responders plan for and practice their organizational response to an incident.
Evaluation is the act of observing and recording exercise activity or conduct, assessing behaviors or activities against exercise objectives, and noting strengths, weaknesses, deficiencies, or other observations.
DC CERT is seeking volunteers to be part of the Exercise Evaluator Task Force.
The Exercise Evaluator Task Force will lead the exercise, training, and evaluation for the DC CERT Program and improve planning. It also provides the foundation for exercise evaluation concepts and practices as identified in the Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program.
The Exercise Evaluator Task Force's goal is to improve the DC CERT training and exercise preparedness to be consistent and standardize and to effectively and systematically apply the exercise evaluation and improvement planning process consistent with the state planning section.
