Dr. Janet Glowicz is a senior Infection Preventionist with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Division of Healthcare Quality Promotion. She holds a Master’s in Public Health/Epidemiology from the Health Science Center at University of North Texas and a PhD in nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington. Janet has practiced infection prevention both as a nurse epidemiologist in public health, acute and outpatient settings. She currently assists with outbreak investigations in healthcare settings and serves as the subject matter expert for hand hygiene in healthcare settings. Dr. Glowicz is the Immediate Past President of the Certification Board in Infection Control and Epidemiology.
