Upcoming climate briefings focus on Bering Sea

Researchers at the Alaska Center for Climate Assessment and Policy will offer overviews on the effect of  climate change on Bering Sea communities, fish, shellfish, and what may be in store with Alaska’s seasonal climate in an online briefing on Tuesday, Aug. 29.

Join Vanessa Von Biela,USGS Alaska Science Center; Thomas Farrugia, Alaska Ocean Observing System; Rick Thoman, Alaska Center for Climate Assessment and Policy; and Leah Zacher, NOAA Fisheries, online at 11 a.m. for an overview of this year’s Bering Science publication. The event will feature speakers on salmon, crab, harmful algal blooms, and the climate. Those interested in participating can register online for the event.

The Bering Science publication is a collaboration between the Alaska Ocean Observing System and the International Arctic Research Center on research happening in and around the region.
