Oregon environmental regulators say they plan to re-establish the state’s signature Climate Protection Program after a court ruling invalidated it a month ago.
State Department of Environmental Quality officials said this week that they will not appeal the Oregon Court of Appeals decision that came down in favor of utilities and industry. The court found in December that the state had failed to comply with disclosure requirements under the federal Clean Air Act when first writing rules for the program.
