More than halfway through the short session, legislators from the 35th District will host a telephone town hall.

During the event, Reps. Dan Griffey, R-Allyn, and Travis Couture, R-Allyn, will answer constituent questions and concerns on the current session, which is scheduled to end on March 7.

"I love the 35th District and always look forward to an opportunity to engage with our community," Griffey said in a statement. "Our state has changed so dramatically in recent years, often not in a positive direction. Rep. Couture and I are working hard for right and real solutions we will share with you. But more importantly, we want to hear what you have to say, which is such a vital part of the work we do here."

The event is scheduled for Feb. 20 from 6 to 7 p.m. Residents of the 35th District who would like to join should call 360-226-0858.

"I hope to hear from as many of you as possible during our telephone town hall," Couture said. "What we hear from you informs us as we fight to make our communities and those across this state safer, more affordable, more prosperous and strengthen the future of the generations to come."
