LAKE WENATCHEE — Firefighters responded to a fire 25 miles west of Lake Wenatchee on the southeast slope of Shoofly Mountain.

Top Lake and Heather Lake Trails were threatened as a result of the fire, according to a U.S. Forest Service Facebook post from Monday. Air and ground firefighting resources have implemented a "full suppression strategy" to control the fire, according to the post.
