Oregon state health officials are overhauling the state’s underutilized Measure 110 hotline for connecting people with drug treatment services amid public calls for repealing or reforming the law, which decriminalized minor possession of drugs and funneled millions of tax dollars into substance abuse treatment and services.

The Oregon Health Authority announced Wednesday that the Boston-based nonprofit Health Resource in Action would replace hotline operator Lines for Life, which launched the toll-free number in 2021 but didn’t seek this contract extension.
