NORTH IDAHO- According to the Couer d'Alene Tribal Police Department the new form of fentanyl is most likely coming from the East Coast.

Fentanyl is a highly addictive and dangerous opioid. Sellers frequently disguising pills as harmless candy.

The new pill is light pink colored and pressed into a heart shape. On the streets it's known as pink rose.

Authorities became aware of this new fentanyl last year in Massachusetts, due to an investigation that seized over 220 pounds of suspected controlled substances.

According to the U.S. Department of Justice Office of Public Affairs the seizure included 20 pounds of the pink heart shaped fentanyl-laced pills.

Pink rose contains enough fentanyl to equal three blues or mexis, the more common type of street fentanyl designed to look like legitimate painkillers.

Any consumption of fentanyl can be deadly. If you see these pink rose pills, call 911 immediately.
