Fentanyl is now involved in at least 75% of adolescent overdose deaths, new research shows.

Many of the overdoses occur among teens who are experimenting with drugs and don’t have long-standing addiction to opioids, said Joseph Friedman, the lead author of “The Overdose Crisis among U.S. Adolescents,” published this year in The New England Journal of Medicine.
