The National Park Service and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service released a final environmental report Thursday that sets the stage for reintroducing grizzly bears into north-central Washington.

The National Park Service and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service released the final impact statement on reintroducing grizzly bears into north-central Washington.

The report affirmed the agencies favor releasing three to seven bears over five to 10 years into the North Cascade National Park and other federal lands to start a population projected to reach 200 in 60 to 100 years.
