FRA assigned the petition Docket Number FRA-2020-0046. Specifically, ERRC petitioned FRA for relief from certain requirements of 49 CFR 215.203, Restricted cars; Sec. 215.303, Stenciling of maintenance-of-way equipment; and part 224, Reflectorization of Rail Freight Rolling Stock, concerning one X-29 type railroad boxcar, PRR 77815, which has a 110,000-pound capacity and was built in 1936. The car last received a single car air brake test on May 1, 2020. ERRC operates over 25 miles of track in Blair County, Pennsylvania, under restricted speed not exceeding 20 miles per hour, and the car will not be utilized in interchange service. ERRC seeks to maintain the car in its historic appearance and identity for photography, film, and historic preservation purposes.
