Answer given by Ms Dalli on behalf of the European Commission

The Commission has been supporting Member States in the transposition process, since the adoption of the directive in order to achieve timely transposition by 28 June 2022.

The Commission had several thematic meetings with representatives of Member States responsible for its transposition to support them in their efforts, dealing respectively with: provisions for products and standards; electronic communications; audiovisual services, e-commerce and copyright; and transport.

The Commission addressed their queries in order to clarify possible issues and foster progress in transposition. Member States are progressing with their efforts and can also reach out to the Commission between meetings. No specific difficulties have been reported by Member States.
