Additional grants are available to assist child care providers licensed and registered with South Dakota Department of Social Services, DSS and Gov. Kristi Noem announced Wednesday.

The grants are part of a second round of funding from the $60 million stabilization grants through American Rescue Plan Act, and are meant to help support child care providers and families impacted by COVID-19.

Initial funding was provided to 676 child care providers in the amount of $35.4 million this spring to help stabilize an industry ravaged by rising inflation.
