Question for written answer E-001045/2021
to the Commission
Rule 138
Markus Buchheit (ID)
Article 6 of the Treaty on European Union contains an obligation on the Member States to uphold human rights. Does the Commission believe that this also applies to the ethnic rights of national minorities in the EU? Does the Commission consider the continuing validity of the so-called Beneš, Bierut and AVNOJ Decrees of 1945 in the Member States of Czechia, Slovakia, Poland and Slovenia to be compatible with these fundamental rights obligations?
