Rule 138
Roman Haider (ID), Georg Mayer (ID), Harald Vilimsky (ID)
On 24 March 2021 the Commission adopted the first comprehensive EU Strategy on the Rights of the Child and a proposal to establish a European Child Guarantee. The Commission is proposing a series of measures, from producing child-friendly legal texts to consultations with children in the context of the Conference on the Future of Europe and the implementation of the Climate Pact and the Green Deal[1].
- 1.On what legal basis are the current legal texts deemed to be not ‘child-friendly legal texts’?
- 2.Does the Commission have access to studies showing that ‘child-friendly legal texts’ safeguard children’s rights better than legal texts until now have done?
