DNR Announces Drawdown For Navarino Wildlife Area

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) today announced it will be conducting a full drawdown on two flowages at Navarino Wildlife Area: Hanson Flowage and 80 Acre Flowage. The drawdowns will begin this spring, and water levels will be lowered slowly until full drawdown is achieved in mid-May.

DNR Responds To USFWS Draft Ruling On Lake Sturgeon

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is aware of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s (USFWS) announcement today of the 12-month finding on a petition to list lake sturgeon as an endangered or threatened species. The notification of petition finding identifies that the listing of lake sturgeon as an endangered or threatened species is not warranted at this time.
