On 30 January, the ENVI committee held a public hearing on “Meeting the EU’s 2030 emission reduction targets: the role of the land use and forestry sectors”. The aim of the hearing was to feed into the work of the committee on the LULUCF legislative proposal, which requires that the land use and forestry sectors also contribute to meeting the EU's 2030 emission reduction targets.
