One of the areas covered by TTIP is regulatory cooperation between the two trading blocs, the EU and the USA.

1. Is the Commission aware of the significance in terms of boosting prosperity of the principle of mutual recognition, as expressed in the Cassis de Dijon judgment?

2. According to the Commission’s estimate, what percentage of the TTIP regulations, as measured in terms of the trade volume of each of the affected goods, might benefit from mutual recognition at the current state of TTIP negotiations?

3. In the negotiations on TTIP so far, has the Commission pursued mutual recognition as its first and most important objective?
