About this event

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Blue Campaign and Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) invite you to join our Partnership for Response-Oriented Training and Education to Counter Trafficking on campus (PROTECT), a no-cost one-day symposium on human trafficking and college campuses in recognition of National Human Trafficking Prevention Month. Attendees will hear from a panel of human trafficking experts working in a variety of fields, all with one goal in common- to help combat this horrific crime and protect victims.

We invite college students, faculty, and staff to attend the afternoon session to learn more about the crime, why and how traffickers target students, what students can do to protect themselves, and what government and non-government resources are available. The morning session is reserved for public safety professionals only, however we encourage students to visit our vendor hall throughout the day (9:00am-4:00pm) to speak with representatives from multiple DHS agencies and local non-governmental organizations to learn about different career fields.

Registration for this event is required and ends at 5pm EST on Friday, January 20, 2023.
