Our Mission

The Youth Conservation Council was created by the Michigan DNR in 2015 to encourage kids to get outdoors.  This is a passionate group of 27 conservation-minded students from all over the state. Their goals are to:

  1. Protect, promote and enhance the state’s outdoor recreation.
  2. Create new opportunities for kids to use Michigan’s unique natural resources.
  3. Share their positive experiences in Michigan’s Great Outdoors.

Follow along as they give a voice to the younger generation and fully appreciate the opportunities the great outdoors provides.
