Sturgeon spearing is a sport rich in tradition and culture. Every spearing trip and fish harvested have a story to tell. Photos are a great way to capture special moments. The Wisconsin DNR is looking for spearers to submit photos that help showcase this year’s spearing season. Photos could be of spearers with their catch, cutting in, shanty life, scenic views observed during the season, or anything else that captures the spearing tradition.

Please include a brief description for each image and if there is an interesting story behind the photo(s), feel free to share it. Select photos will be used for future DNR outreach efforts. Please make sure the photos are age-appropriate
