Conference on the Future of Europe: joint press conference on 19 April

On Monday at 13.00, the Co-Chairs of the Executive Board will present the Conference’s new digital platform, a central hub for citizens’ contributions.

The multilingual digital platform will allow citizens from across Europe to contribute to the Conference directly and provide their views on any topic that they consider important for the future of the EU. Find out more about the platform here.


The press conference will feature Parliament’s Co-Chair of the Executive Board Guy Verhofstadt, the Portuguese Secretary of State for EU Affairs on behalf of the Presidency of the Council of the EU, Ana Paula Zacarias, and Commission Vice-President for Democracy and Demography, Dubravka Šuica. They will focus on how this innovative online resource will ensure and facilitate an open and inclusive participatory democracy debate.


When: Monday, 19 April 2021, at approximately 13.00.


Where: The European Commission’s pressroom. All media representatives that are accredited with the Commission will receive a link for remote participation.
