Fish consumption advisories
The Oregon Health Authority has issued consumption guidelines for parts of the Columbia River due to high levels of mercury and/or PCBs. Fish with these chemicals look, act, smell and taste like any other fish, so caution is important.

Salmon, steelhead and shad
On Saturday's (4/12) flight count, there were 690 boats and 323 Oregon bank anglers from Bonneville Dam down to Tongue Point.
Gorge:
Weekly checking showed no catch for three boats (seven anglers); and three Chinook kept for 47 bank anglers.
Troutdale:
Weekly checking showed 20 Chinook kept, and five Chinook and one jack Chinook released for 85 boats (162 anglers).
Portland to Warrior Rock:
Weekly checking showed 14 Chinook kept for 53 boats (143 anglers); and five Chinook kept for 65 bank anglers.
Warrior Rock to Rainier:
Weekly checking showed nine Chinook kept, and one Chinook released for 21 boats (47 anglers); and 11 Chinook kept for 65 bank anglers.
Rainier to Lower Puget Island:
Weekly checking showed 39 Chinook and two jack Chinook kept, and three Chinook released for 79 boats (192 anglers); and 18 Chinook and two steelhead kept, and six Chinook released for 190 bank anglers.
Lower Puget Island to Tongue Point/Rocky Point
Weekly checking showed 50 Chinook and four jack Chinook kept, and two Chinook released for 61 boats (175 anglers).
