Hunters, Please Report Banded Turkeys
ODFW is asking hunters and members of the public that encounter a banded turkey to report the band number to the nearest ODFW office or by using the online form below.
Why does ODFW band turkeys? During the fall through late winter when food resources are limited turkeys usually concentrate in large flocks at lower elevations. At these times, turkeys can cause damage or become a nuisance to private landowners. In certain cases, ODFW will trap and band these nuisance turkeys and then move them to areas where they are less likely to cause issues. By reporting a banded turkey, you are helping ODFW better understand movement, survival, and harvest of banded turkeys.
