This week shows the promise of this approach, 75+ countries recognize the benefits of working with the United States. Secretary Rubio stands firmly in support of the America First agenda, and that includes the President’s trade policy. The objective is simple: address our nation’s long-standing trade imbalances, ensure fairness for American workers and businesses, all while we protect our national and economic security interests.

Interested in space diplomacy?🛰️ On April 29, the U.S. Department of State and Meridian International Center will host a special program on Strengthening America’s Leadership in Space.  This high-level forum will bring together U.S. and international leaders from government, industry, and civil society to highlight how space diplomacy advances national security, economic prosperity, and scientific collaboration. The event will feature three dynamic panel discussions on: 🌐Expanding the Space Economy (with representatives from Axiom, Maxar Intelligence, Commercial Space Federation, and the U.S. Department of Commerce). ⭐️Strengthening Space Diplomacy (with representatives from the UN Office of Outer Space Affairs, the Secure World Foundation, Embassy of Japan, and Redwire Space). 🚀The Next Generation  (with representatives from the U.S. Space Force, U.S. Space and Rocket Center, and the Smithsonian).

An overreliance on foreign critical minerals could jeopardize infrastructure development and tech innovation. Just this week, China suspended seven rare earth exports in order to choke off supplies of components central to semiconductors and more around the world. At yesterday's White House Cabinet Meeting, Secretary Rubio stated to President Trump: "One of the most important things you'll achieve in your presidency is re-ordering the world in a proper way. For more than 31 years, multiple administrations have allowed the Chinese to de-industrialize this country, to take away jobs and factories and pillars of our national strength."

Making sure President Trump's maximum pressure policy continues! Yesterday U.S. Department of State sanctioned another China-based operator of a crude oil terminal and three other entities and identified two vessels as blocked property for transporting Iranian oil. The goal of max pressure is to drive Iran’s oil exports to zero — especially oil exports to China. https://lnkd.in/enpw2jYY
