COMMISSIONERS TO PARTICIPATE IN PIE
JUDGING AT COUNTY FAIR TODAY
The Franklin County Board
of Commissioners will spend part of the day at the county fair today. Beginning
at 10 am, Commissioners will judge local peach pie entries based on their taste
and appearance. Following the pie contest, Commissioners have been invited to attend the annual
Friends of the Agricultural Society Luncheon and will conclude the day by
participating in the Junior Fair Creative Baking Sale and Auction.
Today is also Military
Appreciation Day. Military members presenting a military ID at the gate will
receive discounted admission ($5) today. Gates open at 9 am and close at 10 pm.
