Leesburg, VA (May 1, 2022) – Schuyler Lake, 21, of Leesburg, has been charged with second degree murder, credit card theft, and credit card fraud in the investigation of the death of his father, Dean Lake, 57, of Leesburg. Schuyler remains held at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center on no bond. There are no other persons of interest in this investigation at this time and there is no further danger to the community.

Leesburg, VA (April 30, 2022) – Schuyler Lake, 21, of Leesburg, has been taken into custody without incident in the area of Russell Branch Parkway SE and Battlefield Parkway SE. The investigation into this morning’s suspicious death continues. There are no other persons of interest in this investigation at this time and there is no further danger to the community.

Original News Release: Leesburg Police Investigate Suspicious Death
Leesburg, VA (April 30, 2022) – On Saturday, April 30, 2022 at shortly before 7:30 AM, the Leesburg Police Department Emergency Communications Center received a call for service for a suspicious event at a residence located in the 400 block of South King Street. Officers responded and located Dean Lake, 57, of Leesburg, deceased with apparent trauma to his upper body.
Additionally, the Leesburg Police Department seeks the whereabouts of Schuyler Lake, 21, of Leesburg due to mental and/or physical health concerns. Schuyler (pictured) was last seen wearing brown boots, dark colored shorts, a pink t-shirt, and a light colored baseball cap. Schuyler currently has a bald / shaved head. He is known to frequent the Leesburg and Sterling areas. Anyone who has information regarding Schuyler’s whereabouts is requested to call the Leesburg Police Department at 703-771-4500 or dial 9-1-1. Anyone who believes that they may have spotted Schuyler is discouraged from approaching him.
