Join Park System Naturalists on Thursday mornings this summer for a free exploration of a freshwater pond. We’ll look for basking turtles, hopping frogs, hunting herons, splashing fish and anything else that catches our eye. We will also discover the unique life that lies underneath the water in a freshwater pond.

Participants should wear closed-toe shoes; please, no flip-flops. We will meet outside the Visitor Center near the picnic tables. The program will be canceled in cases of inclement weather.

Parents or guardians are required to stay with and supervise their children.

The program is designed for individuals and families. Groups can reserve a date by calling 732-872-7369.
